I'm Back, Bitches. And I have a shit ton of email to go through, so please bear with me one more day while I play catch up. Ender's Game is a 1985 military science fiction novel by American author Orson Scott Card. Set in Earth's future, the novel presents an imperiled mankind after two conflicts with the "buggers", an insectoid alien species. In preparation for an anticipated third invasion, children, including the novel's protagonist, Ender Wiggin, are trained from a very young age through increasingly difficult games including some in zero gravity, where Ender's tactical genius is revealed. Ender's Shadow is a parallel science fiction novel by the American author Orson Scott Card, taking place at the same time as the novel Ender's Game and depicting some of the same events from the point of view of Bean, a supporting character in the original novel. It was originally to be titled Urchin, but it was retitled Ender's Shadow prior to release In Harry Potter Universe, the Sign of the Deathly Hallows was a triangular mark used as a representation of the Deathly Hallows, three legendary objects that allegedly, if united, would make one the "Master of Death," also known as the "Vanquisher of Death" and the "Conqueror of Death." The sign was actually composed of three separate marks that, united, make up the sign. The Elder Wand was represented by the straight vertical line, the Resurrection Stone by the circle surrounding it, and finally a triangle enclosing them both to represent the Cloak of Invisibility. Bangers and mash is a traditional dish of the British Isles made of sausages and mashed potatoes, and may consist of one of a variety of flavored sausages made of pork, lamb, or beef. This dish, even when cooked at home, may be thought of as an example of pub grub, meaning it is relatively quick and easy to make in large quantities. More up-market varieties, with exotic sausages and mashes, are sold in gastropubs, with less sophisticated alternatives being available in regular pubs. I'd like to take this girl out for some bangers and mash. Where are we headed? The Settlers of Catan is a multiplayer board game designed by Klaus Teuber and first published in 1995 in Germany by Franckh-Kosmos Verlag as Die Siedler von Catan. Players assume the roles of settlers, each attempting to build and develop holdings while trading and acquiring resources. Players are awarded points as their settlements grow; the first to reach a set number of points, typically 10, is the winner. The popularity of The Settlers of Catan led to the creation of spinoff games and products, including Star Trek Catan, which is a spin-off of the original series released in 2012 by Mayfair Games, and uses the same basic components with new names, new graphics, and some minor rules additions. The building costs and resources match the original game. Bigfoot -- also known as Sasquatch -- is a cryptid which supposedly is a simian-like creature of American folklore that is said to inhabit forests, especially in the Pacific Northwest. Bigfoot is usually described as a large, hairy, bipedal humanoid. Scientists discount the existence of Bigfoot and consider it to be a combination of folklore, misidentification, and hoax, rather than a living animal. They note the lack of physical evidence after centuries of investigation, despite the fact that numerous creatures would have to exist in order to maintain a breeding population. Can you show me the best place for a sasquatch sighting? |
