Eric's Confessions is a Youtube channel first created back in June of 2009 when, from a spot in his parents' backyard, Eric McLean revealed that he had leukemia and would have to undergo treatment to combat the disease. In total, Eric has recorded 108 videos, cataloging his battle with the disease. Now, the 28-year-old has exhausted all of his treatment options and is preparing to die. This is his final video. So long, dude. Well, in a day or two, anyway.

When my mother lost her fight with cancer back in 2002, one of the more popular series on HBO at the time was Six Feet Under. If you haven't had the pleasure -- trust me it was a great fucking show plus you get to see a pre-Dexter Michael C Hall -- it's a show about a family owned funeral parlor. Each episode begins with some random person dying and the episode unfolds loosely based around that person's funeral. Once I finally made it back to my condo in Massachusetts and started to catch up on all of the shows I missed while in New York for her death, I remember feeling really weird about watching Six Feet Under. Like somehow I shouldn't enjoy it anymore since it now struck a little too close to home now that I got to see the death experience from the other side of the glass. But a lot goes on behind the scenes to get to this stage. So here's a very interesting, if quite morbid, read... Staging Death: Behind the Scenes in a Funeral Home. As always, the finale to Six Feet Under is still one of my absolute favorite episodes of any show out there. Between that and Eric's final video blog, it really makes you come face to face with your own mortality.

An ace is a playing card. The word "ace" comes from the Old French word 'as' (from Latin 'as') meaning 'a unit', from the name of a small Roman coin. It originally meant the side of dice with only one mark, before it was a term for a playing card. Kalimotxo also known as cocavino due to its main ingredients, is a drink consisting of approximately 50% red wine and 50% cola-based soft drink. In some areas of Spain (the Basque Country), kalimotxo is served in bars in short glass tumblers. Plenty of ice is added, then the red wine and cola. In other areas the cocktail is served in tall glasses. Sometimes Ouzo or anise flavoring is added. Another variation calls for a lime twist. In times of fewer available resources, a common occurrence among Spanish youth, (lack of one liter 'mini') drastic measures are taken by young Spaniards in order to save money. One common cheap way of mixing Calimocho involves a plastic bag and the Tetra Brik cartons of cheap red wine (Don Simon is a common brand). An entire two liter bottle of Coca-Cola and two liters of wine are emptied into a plastic shopping bag. Once the concoction is mixed in the bag, the bag is squeezed tightly around the rim of the two litre Coca-Cola bottle and the contents of the bag are poured into the bottle.

We all know that male celebrities do really well with the ladies, but some do better than others. And one of these guys is Hollywood heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio. But let's just start off by stating the obvious: the term "girlfriends" is probably a bit strong. In 2009, scientists at the University of Maryland teleported information from one atom to another one meter away. Not to be outdone, Chinese researchers in 2012 did the same thing -- over a distance of 60 miles. Instant teleportation. We don't mean it traveled really fast -- we mean it didn't travel at all. Vrnjacka Banja is a town, municipality, and a resort, mineral spa located in Raska District of Serbia. It was upgraded by the Czech Baron Herder in 1835 after Prince Milos Obrenovic wanted it to be like Karlovy Vary, it has since received people from all of southern Europe, who came to rest or for treatment. Summers are pleasant, and the winter is mild. With organized walks along the tree bordered paths, Vrnjacka Banja is an ideal place to come to for one's own salvation. Natural springs can be found on five mineral water sources well positioned in the park. The warm water (36 degrees Celsius) is ideal for massage, and cool (17 degrees Celsius) sufficiently reviving. Mineral water from these springs is bottled and sold both in the domestic and foreign market. Bukovicka mineral water won its first quality awards as early as 1906, in Brussels and later on in 1907, in London.
